Its simple vanilla flavor pairs well with warm spices, chocolate, and fruit, too. It dries beautifully matte and opaque, making it a nice all-purpose backdrop for chopped nuts, sprinkles, or any of your favorite cake toppings. (Just make sure to sift your powdered sugar to avoid any lumps.) For beautiful flecks of vanilla bean throughout the glaze, use an equal amount of vanilla bean paste instead of extract.
