Dunkin's Newest Donut Flavor Pays Tribute to a Favorite Southern Dish
Dunkin' might be a Massachusetts-based coffee house chain, but their newest donut creation nods to a classic Southern dish: cornbread.
Today, the company announced a new Cornbread Donut and Cornbread Munchkins as part of their spring 2022 drinks and eats lineup.
In a press release, the brand says the new pastry has a "unique sweet and savory corn-cake base." It's also glazed for a hint of sweetness and a true donut experience. Because as any Southern cook knows, cornbread must have some sugar. (Or should it?)
Returning to the menu just as the Cornbread Donuts roll into stores will be fan-favorite Butter Pecan Iced Coffee. Dunkin' fans can once again enjoy the flavor of butter-roasted pecans and sweet cream with the Original Blend Iced Coffee.
If you're not an iced coffee fan, you can add the iconic flavor to hot coffee, espresso drink, frozen coffee, and even frozen chocolate.
But if you're looking for an all-new sipping experience as spring warms up, look no further than this brand-new release from Dunkin': Cake Batter Signature Latte.
For years, fans have been hacking the Dunkin' menu to create this cake-forward flavor, but Dunkin' is making things easier by introducing the bakery-inspired flavoring to their menu, no DIY required.
In each Cake Batter Signature Latte, you'll get espresso mixed with cake batter flavoring. That's topped with whipped cream, a mocha drizzle, and, of course, sprinkles. Because what cake is complete without sprinkles?
Act fast if you want to try the Cake Batter latte, however. It's for a limited time only, and you don't want anyone to blow out the candles of this cake experience on you.
Two other items will round out the new menu offerings: a Mango Pineapple Dunkin' Refresher and a Tomato Pesto Grilled Cheese. That's two more reasons to get by your nearest Dunkin', if the Cornbread Donut wasn't reason enough.
