In recent months, Gatlinburg SkyLift Park has become an increasingly popular locale to pop the question (how about this adorable couple who got engaged on the SkyBridge on Christmas Eve?).

In fact, Marcus Watson, a spokesperson for the park, tells Southern Living that since they first opened the SkyBridge attraction in May they have seen "dozens upon dozens of proposals." During the holiday season, the SkyBridge has seen at least two-to-three proposals a week. Clearly, people are catching on that this special park overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains is ripe for romance.

Well, brace yourself for another piece of perhaps lesser known intel about the sweeping grounds: You can also tie the knot at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park. "Weddings are something that could possibly grow more in the future as we start to expand into the additional 47 acres we have at the SkyLift Park," Watson explains (we're keeping our fingers and toes crossed that they do!). For now, intimate SkyLift Park ceremonies, with an officiant included, are available for $249. The package includes your wedding ceremony, two tickets for the Gatlinburg SkyLift Park, 10 photos given to you on an SD card for phone or computer use, the option to have someone take additional photos with your camera or phone, and a personalized copy of your wedding vows. Watson tells us that the wedding ceremonies typically take place on the SkyDeck amphitheater, with no shortage of stunning mountain vistas in the background. Learn more at SkyLiftWeddings.com.

Currently, renting out the entire SkyLift Park for a full-fledged wedding and reception with catering, DJs, etc. is not an option. But if you're looking for a romantic spot to elope, we can't think of a better place than perched 500-feet above the city of Gatlinburg.
