If you are in search of the perfect wedding venue, consider Richmond, Virginia. Specifically, Tuckahoe Plantation serves as a must-see venue to say "I Do". It's the boyhood home of Thomas Jefferson—a National Historic Landmark. Not to mention, it's simply the most perfect venue for an outdoor wedding. The grounds can accommodate up to 500 guests and it's just 30 minutes from downtown Richmond.
I've had the pleasure of designing the flowers for weddings at Tuckahoe and the grounds are truly beautiful. The gardens are the perfect backdrop for a wedding. I love visiting each season to see what's in bloom, from the sweet fragrance of the rose gardens to the brightly colored blooms of the dahlias and poppies. There are three ceremony locations on the grounds and they are just magical. The arbor serves as the perfect place to recite your vows.
There are so many settings at Tuckahoe Plantation for your photographer to capture all of the sweet moments from your wedding day. There is also a Southern tradition for couples to bury a bottle of bourbon exactly one month before their wedding date to ensure good luck and good weather on their wedding day.
