A Timeless All-White Wedding At Atlanta’s Swan House
Melissa and Craig had one goal when it came to wedding planning – make it timeless. Decades down the road, the two wanted to look back on their Big Day and know they wouldn’t have done a single thing differently. That meant forgoing the latest trends in favor of classic, garden-party details and iconic spaces. Their stately reception space at Atlanta’s Swan House served as a source of inspiration for their simple yet sophisticated all-white color palette, which allowed the historic estate to shine.
From family wedding bands thoughtfully incorporated into the bride’s bouquet to an elegant alfresco celebration complete with a vintage getaway car, it’s easy to see Melissa and Craig’s wedding day was full of Southern grace and tradition.
The Bride and Groom
A summer romance brought Melissa and Craig together, so it was only fitting that Craig prosed during the couple’s first solo vacation together on a cruise ship. After spending time in Tampa, the two decided to call Atlanta home, putting down roots and celebrating in style at one of the city’s most iconic wedding venues.
Gardens and Grandeur
One glace at Atlanta’s Swan House Gardens, and Melissa was hooked. She immediately saw her vision of a timeless Southern wedding weaving perfectly into the historic estate's graceful grounds.
Serene Paper Suite
Simple and sweet invitations boarded with soft greenery gave guests a taste of the color palette to come.
An Elegant A-Line
Melissa beamed in a classic A-line gown with a sweetheart neckline and traditional floor-length veil.
Her Bundle of White Blooms
The bride carried an all-white collection of roses, baby’s breath, and hydrangeas down the aisle, personalizing her classic bouquet by stringing family engagement rings and wedding bands among the stems.
Lovely in Ivory
The bridesmaids’ collection of cream gowns and mixed necklines complemented the classic, neutral tones of the day.
Delicate Bridesmaid Hairdos
Even Melissa’s bridesmaids’ hairstyles brought an air of romance to the day, with supporting ladies sporting everything from wispy, loose ponytails to timeless curls.
A Dapper Group of Guys
Craig’s crew of groomsmen looked the part in classic black tuxedoes and white pocket squares.
Craig and Melissa made it official during a traditional ceremony at Peachtree Presbyterian Church, complete with an emotion-filled father-daughter walk down the aisle and a mid-aisle toddler debate about lollipops and the proper walking speed.
A Georgia Evening Under the Stars
Guests entered the Swan House reception to a scene of dazzling string lights and alfresco dinner tables decorated with all-white details.
The newlyweds stayed in the spotlight all night with special seating at their greenery, rose, and hydrangea adorned head table.
A Touch of Wood
Guests were treated to tables filled with white tulips, roses, hydrangeas, and wooden accents.
Timeless Table Settings
Gold rimmed chargers and greenery-themed escort cards continued the couple’s simple yet sophisticated décor scheme on the dinner table.
Classy White Wedding Cake
Playful polka dots paired seamlessly with refined gold edging and florals to create an ivory confection full of classic charm.
Melissa and Craig sealed the deal on their old-world affair with a set of vintage wheels waiting to wisp them away.
A Petal-filled Departure
After dining, toasting, and dancing the night away, the newlyweds kissed their Big Day goodbye surrounded by family, friends, and romantic rose petals.
