We’ll admit it again and again, these two Aussies have stolen our Southern hearts. Perhaps it’s their love of Nashville (and the Preds!) or their commitment to familytime and to their daughters Sunday Rose (Sunny) and Faith Margaret (Fifi). We admit, we do like our double names too. Or maybe it's the genuine love and support they show for one another that keeps us rooting for this Nashville-living couple. It's most definitely all of the above. Today we're wishing this special pair a very Happy 11th Anniversary as we look back on their special day.
The date. On June 25, 2006, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban went home to Australia to tie the knot in a breathtaking ceremony. Those who attended the Sunday celebration, which took place at the Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel, said that it was "emotional and beautiful" reported People.
The pre-ceremony prep. The bride prepared for her wedding day at her home in Sydney.
The entrance. Kidman's father, Anthony, walked her down the aisle as Wagner’s “Bridal Chorus” played.
The dress and veil. The beautiful bride chose a short-sleeve lace one-shoulder gown by Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquiere. Kidman paired it with a long, dramatic veil, which she lifted only to exchange vows with Urban. Apparently the very emotional Kidman cried throughout most of the ceremony. Kidman also told the Telegraph that she would preserve her dress for whichever daughter would like to wear it.
The décor. People reported that over 1,000 white, flickering candles were sprinkled throughout the gorgeous space.
The bridal party. Kidman brought together the special women in her family. Her sister Antonia was her matron of honor, Kidman’s daughter Isabella was her bridesmaid, and her niece (and Antonia’s daughter), assumed the role of flower girl.
The flowers. Every Southern girl loves her flowers, especially on her Big Day. Kidman chose white freesias, gardenias, and carnations

The gifts. While gift-giving is always a topic of Southern wedding debate, the couple asked that in lieu of gifts, guests donate to the Sydney’s Children Hospital.
The highlight. While the entire day was memorable for the couple (and the world watching), it was when Urban serenaded his new wife with “Making Memories of Us” that had us wishing we had been invited. Oh, just one of the perks of marrying Keith Urban.
