Don’t let worrying about hosting duties get in the way of your well-wishes. Since most showers are held in the late-morning or afternoon, setting out a spread of beverages, appetizers, and desserts will be enough to please partygoers. Serving an assortment of easy-to-eat finger foods makes it easier on guests who will be mingling a majority of the time. (This is also much more manageable for hostesses who are contributing dishes.)
Chicken Salad Crescent Rolls are my go-to recipe for bringing to a bridal shower. This crowd-pleasing dish combines two of everyone’s favorite delicacies: chicken salad and crescent rolls. What makes this no-fail appetizer even better is that it’s incredibly easy to make. It requires only three ingredients: chicken salad, crescent rolls, and poppy seeds. This no-fuss recipe also comes together in less than 20 minutes.
Start by whipping up a batch of homemade chicken salad, or simplify things even more by picking up a tub from your favorite local restaurant or grocery store. Next, unroll 1 (8 oz.) can of refrigerated crescent rolls, separating each dough portion along center and diagonal perforations to form 8 triangles. Spoon 2 tablespoons of chicken salad onto the wide end of the dough, and roll dough over the chicken salad, pinching the edges to seal. Place the rolls, seam sides down, on a lightly greased baking sheet. Sprinkle the tops with 2 tablespoons of poppy seeds. Bake them at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
You might want to bake an extra batch, because these are sure to fly off the platter. Round out the menu with a bowl of Sparkling Citrus Punch.
