Almost all Southerners have taken a trek down to Orlando to experience the 'Happiest Place On Earth'. It's an adventure in and of itself – but a trip to Disney World, especially with children, can be a pricey memory. Our friends at Coinage compared the Southern favorite destination with the California-based Disneyland. Just as you can imagine, the ticket price is steep for both Disney locations. But, surprisingly, a trip for a family of four is around $500 cheaper at one of the two parks, if you're including ParkHopper passes, Disney lodging, and a meal plan. You will definitely want to go to both parks at Disneyland which will bring your ticket cost to $335 per person [MUSIC] In total, you'll be spending $1,340 to gain entrance to the happiest place on earth. During your west coast Disney vacation, your family would want to rest their adventure seeking heads at the Disneyland hotel. Five nights at the main resort will set you back $1,925. Disneyland does offer [UNKNOWN] a chance to purchase dining plans. For two adults and two kids, your bellies can be full for $872. At Disneyland, you will a spend a grand total of $4137. Switching locations to sunny Orlando, Florida, a park hopper pass costs $445 per ticket. Your entire total will ring up to $1,780 for all four parks. Staying at the Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa would be $330 per night before taxes. All in your family of four would pay $1,980. With a larger selection of food, two adults and two children would cost $915. 50 for a standard meal plan. In total the price tag for your family of four to vacation at Disney World for 5 days would be $4,675. Granted, there are cheaper alternatives for both.
