If you haven't already heard, Southerners and non-Southerners alike (we see you, Kathie Lee) are flocking to Music City at lightning speed. With a booming music, food, and arts scene, it's no surprise that Nashville is consistently ranked as one of the country's fastest growing cities. Just ask anyone who has been lucky enough to visit, and they'll quickly tell you that it's an absolute must for your Southern travel bucket list. As you start to plan your Nashville getaway, there's a chance you may become overwhelmed. With fantastic new restaurants, bars, and lodging choices opening almost daily, it's an understatement to say that you'll have plenty of options when planning your visit. Lucky for you, two members of our Southern Living Hotel Collection call Nashville home, and they'd love nothing more than to have you as their guest.

The Hermitage Hotel and The Inn at Fontanel are two hotel options that offer the very best in Southern hospitality. What makes the two properties even better is that they're completely different, but equally amazing (we recommend visiting both, obviously).

If you're hoping to spend your time in Nashville smack-dab in the middle of it all, look no further than The Hermitage Hotel. Cherished by Nashvillians as a historic landmark, The Hermitage is known as Nashville's first "million-dollar hotel". As soon as you step inside it's breathtaking lobby, you'll feel the city's rich history take over, as you're surrounded by perfectly preserved Southern architecture and design you'll be dreaming about for a lifetime.

Not only does the Hermitage serve as a conveniently located home base for your trip, but it offers delectable Southern cuisine that will have you drooling. Visit Capital Grille for an upscale night out, or sip a cocktail inspired by one of the South's other major cities at the famous Oak Bar. In the mood to be pampered? Visit the spa for a lovely afternoon you won't soon forget.

Is your idea of the perfect Nashville getaway one that involves time spent in the breathtaking Tennessee countryside? Located only 15 minutes north of downtown Nashville is The Inn at Fontanel (fun fact: it was originally a Southern Living Idea House!). This ever-so-charming inn sits atop Fontanel estate, built in 1988 for country music superstar Barbara Mandrell. Open to the public since 2010, guests can tour Barbara Mandrell's former home, known as the Mansion at Fontanel, which is just a short walk from the inn, as well as visit Fontanel's delicious restaurants, distillery, boutique, and ziplining course. Fontanel offers guests the perfect mix of peaceful, countryside relaxation in close proximity to the excitement of downtown Nashville, and we find it hard to imagine anything more ideal than that.

So, what are you waiting for? The Hermitage Hotel and The Inn at Fontanel are gearing up for the summer, and they're excited to have you as their guest. Be sure to tell them Southern Living sent you.
