High Hampton, which sits on more than 1,400 beautiful acres near the Nantahala National Forest, has been an iconic Cashiers destination since 1922. Now, the brilliant minds who brought us Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain have teamed up with Arlington Family Offices and Daniel Communities to update the historic inn and grounds for a new generation. High Hampton "There has always been a strong sense of togetherness at High Hampton and guests were warmly welcomed like they were family," Sandy Beall, Chairman and co-Founder of Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain, said in a statement. "The Beall Family, the team behind Blackberry Farm, along with Ken Polk and the Arlington Family Offices, are committed to the preservation and celebration of High Hampton's foundation of family and are focused on its lasting impact for years to come." The Blackberry Farm team will oversee the revitalization of the inn, cottages, and restaurants, while their longtime friends at Arlington Family Offices and Daniel Communities will focus on the redevelopment the golf course, club, activities, and private ownership opportunities. According to a news release, the inn's 18 guest rooms and surrounding cottages are undergoing major renovations to provide updated amenities, including enlarging each guest room and bathroom and installing central heat and air with interiors done by Blackberry Farm Design. Guests will enjoy breathtaking mountain views as well as access to 15 miles of hiking. Other amenities will include a swimming pool and hot tub overlooking the 35-acre Hampton Lake (a natural water swimming lake with a beach); canoes and kayaks; tennis and pickle ball courts; donkey rides; a redesigned 18-hole golf course; a prized dahlia garden; and a kid's camp with supervised activities and programs.
