Whether you are a Valentine's Day lover or think it's a made up holiday promoted by the greeting card industry, being single on February 14th manages to bum out even the most cynical of souls. But if you’re looking at takeout and Netflix as your date this holiday, one of Nashville’s newest hotels would like to offer an alternative. And it might just be the perfect excuse to take that restorative solo road trip you’ve earned.

Bobby Hotel will be setting up its Lonely Hearts Club in their Garage Bar on Printer’s Alley in over the top fashion. Like if your grade school class party included PG-13 movies and craft cocktails, the whole affair is meant to poke fun at the overly earnest holiday while leaving the door open for attendees to find a new crush while they’re there. There is a full ceiling’s worth of lights, lanterns, and an interactive chalkboard wall where guests are encouraged to leave notes to past, present or future loves. Classics like Heathers and The Breakfast Club will also be screening while bartenders fix themed beverages.

The cocktail menu features a selection of on-brand libations like the Maggie May, a play on an Old Fashioned crafted with tequila and inspired by the popular Rod Stewart tune and the Cool Hand ‘Cuke, a gin, lavender and cucumber beverage named in honor of eternal heartthrob Paul Newman

The Lonely Hearts Club will have its headquarters at Bobby’s Garage Bar through February 28 and is open 7 days a week, from 5 p.m. until 1 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 5 to 11 p.m. on Sundays.
