The country singer and lifestyle mogul, 52, has teamed up with Williams Sonoma to release a line of mixes and kits so you can spend more time in the pool and less time in the kitchen.

"We're not really formal entertainers," Yearwood exclusively tells PEOPLE of her and husband, Garth Brooks. "When we have friends over, it's not ‘What's the theme for the party?' ‘How are we going to set the table?' — that's not how we do. It's more, ‘Hey, the sun's out today, want to come over and get in the pool and we'll figure out something?'"

The line, which is available online starting today and in stores mid-May, features five different ready-made products: Trisha's BBQ Sauce, Trisha's Applewood Molasses Rub, Trisha's Summer in a Cup Cocktail, Trisha's Biscuit Mix and Trisha's Unfried Chicken Seasoning Kit. The mixes range in price from $9.95 to $16.95, and Yearwood says they were inspired by her own life.

"What I love about it is every recipe has a story," Yearwood says. "The story for Summer in a Cup is a true story from living in Oklahoma and my friend Mandy made up this drink with fruit juice and coconut rum and we tasted it and she said, ‘That's summer in a cup,' and it just kind of stuck so it's the perfect name for the drink. We came up with my biggest memory of what it tasted like."
