If your New Year's resolution was to read more and you've already fallen off the bandwagon, we've got just the book to get you back on track. Today, Reese Witherspoon announced the next pick for her book club: The Light We Lost by Jill Santopolo ($14;

"Our February pick is all about the different kinds of Love - the kind that engulfs you like a wildfire and the kind that keeps you warm like a hearth fire," Reese wrote on her Instagram.

This heartbreaking debut novel follows Lucy, a student at Columbia University, as she meets Gabe, her first love, on September 11, 2001. Over the course of the next few years, the two are brought together and torn apart over and over again, as Lucy pursues a career in New York City and Gabe moves to the Middle East to become a photojournalist. This moving story perfectly captures the sacrifices we make for love and for our dreams and how life can throw a wrench in even the most perfect plans.
