An unaired clip from the couple's joint engagement interview on Monday released by BBC showed them joking around with people off-camera after their interview had wrapped.
At one point, the duo laugh and mimic the same silly pose while sitting side-by-side, with Markle never letting go of Harry's hand.
When Harry, 32, appears to be telling a story, the 36-year-old actress jokingly rests her head on her hand while gazing up at her fiancé, then visibly cracking up.
Although the interview covered when the couple's plans for a family and how Queen Elizabeth's beloved corgis are taking to the family's latest addition, their sweet interactions were the most telling in how excited they are about walking down the aisle in the spring. In the unaired clip, Markle and Harry steal several loving looks and can't stop smiling at each other.
The pair have been dating since July 2016 and were first revealed as a couple in October 2016. Throughout their high-speed, long-distance courtship, Harry and Los Angeles native Markle have spent time together at each other's respective homes in London and Toronto, where Markle filmed Suits. The seventh season of the USA legal drama will reportedly be her last.
The royal couple announced their engagement Monday morning and made their official debut as an engaged couple outside Kensington Palace.
They held their photocall in the Sunken Gardens, which was one of Princess Diana's favorite places. When asked by the press how they feel, Harry replied: "Thrilled." Very glad it's not raining!" Markle then added: "So happy."
When asked when he knew she was the one, Harry said with a smile: "The very first time we met."
In their interview with BBC, they shared the sweet details of the royal's proposal — and it was very romantic!
According to the couple, the proposal happened a few weeks ago at their cottage in Kensington Palace.
"It was a cozy night," Markle told the BBC. "We were roasting chicken. It was just an amazing surprise. It was so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got down on one knee."
Harry added, "It was a really nice moment — it was just the two of us. I think I managed to catch her by surprise."
Markle then excitedly said, "Yes, as a matter of fact I could barely let you finish proposing! I said, ‘Can I say yes now!' "
Markle also showed off her new diamond engagement ring, which Harry designed himself.
"The ring is – is obviously yellow gold because that's what – her favorite and the main stone itself I sourced from Botswana and the – the little diamonds either side are from my mother's jewelry collection to make sure that she's with us on this – on this crazy journey together," Harry said.
Markle added: "It's beautiful, and he designed it, it's incredible."
