The One Ingredient Martha Stewart Won't Use
She's not alone.
There are certain people whose taste and opinion in the kitchen we take with a grain of salt, and others who we'll heed with absolute deference. Martha Stewart falls into the latter category. So when she told Today in an interview that she stays away from one particular ingredient, we listen.
Apparently, Martha Stewart refuses to use truffle oil.
"Oh, I would never use truffle oil, oh never," she told Today.
She hates it because "it clings to your taste buds," she points out. True. When you eat something covered in truffle oil, it definitely sticks with you all day. It's also synthetic, she complains. Also true. There is, in fact, no real truffles in truffle oil.
