9 Discontinued Pop-Tart Flavors That Are Due for a Comeback
Pop-Tart collectors, take note.
It all started with four flavors in 1964—strawberry, blueberry, apple-currant, and brown sugar and cinnamon—and since then, the number of different flavors of Pop-Tarts has grown exponentially. There are fruity flavors, ice cream-inspired flavors, even nutty ones. But all good things must come to an end, and for all the wacky and unique Pop-Tarts flavors that you can find in stores today, there are dozens of other beloved but discontinued Pop-Tart flavors that are never to be seen again.
It's heartbreaking when a flavor is discontinued, but the worst is when it's discontinued without any warning. You don't have time to say good-bye, or stock up, and there are plenty of people online wondering where, oh where has my favorite flavor of Pop-Tarts gone? But these lost flavors are never forgotten, and they live on in our stomachs, hearts, and memories. Some folks are proactive, writing petitions, penning long letters, and commenting on the Kellogg's message boards to try to get them back.
If you've been wondering whatever happened to your favorite discontinued Pop-Tart or just want a walk down memory lane, through the graveyard of the fallen toaster pastries, here are nine discontinued Pop-Tart flavors and products that you wish would come back onto grocery store shelves.
