Try Ree Drummond’s Zero-Effort Citrus Salad Tonight

A bright citrus salad may look fancy, but it’s oh-so-easy to pull together. When we stumbled upon Ree Drummond’s citrus salad over yonder down the Instagram vortex, we could practically smell the fruit leaping from our screens. “Heaven smells like citrus, and citrus makes for a heavenly salad,” Drummond started off her post.
To assemble The Pioneer Woman's latest culinary creation, you only need a handful of ingredients. Start with a base of citrus like oranges, grapefruits, or blood oranges. For the most beautiful presentation, you’ll want to slice off the rind completely and then carefully use a paring knife to remove any pith. Next, whip up your dressing. Drummond suggests a swirl of olive oil, white wine vinegar, honey, and Dijon mustard. Squeeze in some more juice from some spare orange segments—a lime or lemon will do if you've run out—and season with salt and pepper.
If you want to get really fancy and add a sixth ingredient into the mix, garnish with freshly torn mint leaves. “I added sliced radishes too, because I'm a middle child,” Drummond concedes. It's okay, Ree, we're adding a handful of chopped pecans because it’s the Southern way.
