Mojitarita Cocktail

It features the bounty of fresh mint you'd find in a mojito, paired with the refreshing lime flavor of a margarita. Feel free to dip the rims of your glasses in salt for a true margarita effect.These creative cocktails are the perfect addition to a Tex-Mex party spread. To further customize these playful drinks, you can add muddled fruit or, if you're a fan of spice, a dash of jalapeño. You can forgo the tequila and add extra sparkling water to make an alcohol-free version as well. Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish

  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

  • 8 ounces silver tequila

  • Cold soda water or sparkling water

  • 1 lime, sliced into thin wheels

Directions

  1. Tear the mint leaves into pieces and put into a 24 ounce cocktail shaker with lime juice, sugar, and tequila. Add crushed ice and shake well.

  2. Strain over ice into lowball glasses and top off with soda water.

  3. Garnish with mint leaves and lime slices.
