I made this dish yesterday and it was delicious! The pepper flakes, which I usually shy away from, gave it the perfect kick! The only change I made was that I used salted butter instead of unsalted (which I usually do anyway), and to me it was still perfect. My husband felt the rice might’ve been a bit salty, but I believe that was due to the flavor packet included with the rice. I will also try this recipe with Jasmine or basmati rice. Regardless, I highly recommend.
This recipe was delicious just the way it was written. I used Rice a Roni long grain and wild rice (that’s what I had) and put a Tablespoon of the butter from the recipe in as I cooked the rice with the seasoning packet. The shrimp, broccoli, rice and lemon slices were incredible flavors. Easy and gourmet.
