I made this pie exactly as the recipe called to be made. If you LOVE the taste of dark, rich chocolate, this is your pie! It set beautifully, the pecans added a nice crunch. As suggested by another reviewer I used a 9” deep dish pie pan and it filled it.
This is a pie for special occasions and serving with ice cream is a good idea to help cut the richness. I want to make another one with milk chocolate chips and walnuts to see how that comes out together. Perhaps milk chocolate and pretzel pieces or white chocolate and peppermint? Who knows?!!

I followed the instructions to a T. I made two pies (one for me and one to give to a friend). However there was so much filling that it overflowed even when I tried not overfilling it. I am wishing I had bought the 9 inch deep dish pie crust instead of regular. I would recommend that to anyone attempting this recipe.
