Who says an everything bagel is just for breakfast? Your favorite breakfast-on-the-go is hitting the dinner table in a delicious way. There are only four ingredients on the list for this pick-up dish that will be gone in one lap around the table. The everything seasoning adds so much texture and flavor to the average dinner roll, you might never make plain rolls again. A drizzle of olive oil on the hot rolls right before serving is the savory cherry on top of this dish. Before you make this recipe, remember to factor in the time it takes for the dough to thaw and rise. Once you try these Everything Dinner Rolls, though, the time it took to prepare them will be worth it, and using frozen dough that needs to rise yields a better result than using ready-to-go frozen rolls (believe us, we tested both out). Aside from the time commitment, this recipe is extremely easy. Just pick up a package of everything bagel mix at the grocery store, or make your own if you really impress your guests. Now you can enjoy that everything bagel flavor at breakfast and dinner.
1 large egg
1/2 cup everything bagel seasoning mix
12 frozen, unbaked yeast dinner rolls (such as Rhodes or Bridgford)
Olive oil, for drizzling
How to Make It
Whisk egg in a small bowl. Spread seasoning mix on a plate. Dip top and sides of each frozen roll in egg, and dip top of each roll in seasoning. Place in a single layer, seasoning side up, on a 9-inch baking pan lightly coated with cooking spray. Cover with plastic wrap lightly coated with cooking spray. Thaw, let rise, and bake according to package directions.
Drizzle hot rolls lightly with oil; break rolls apart, and serve warm.
