This is a solid 4 stars. The taste is like a brownie - YUM! The cookies hold their shape fairly well, but they do puff some so they are not perfectly crisp edges. The dough was easy to make, and it responded well to rolling and cutting. I did rest the dough in
the fridge for 4 days, and each full sheet of cut cookies was placed back in the fridge for about 15 minutes before baking.
The difficulty is with the timing. It's a dark dough, so you cannot check the edges for browning. I found that I need to bake a few minutes past the puff up stage. This was a total bake time of about 13 to 16 minutes, depending on thickness. This resulted in crisp edges with slightly tender middles.
