This charred tomato relish boasts of deliciously smoky flavor. Spoon it over your favorite grilled foods. It pairs perfectly with steak, fish, or even smoked chicken.

How to Make It

Step 1

Preheat grill to medium-high (about 450°F), or heat a grill pan over medium-high. Toss together tomatoes, 1 tablespoon of the oil, salt, and black pepper in a medium bowl; set aside.

Step 2

Grill tomatoes, turning often, until charred and softened, 4 to 6 minutes. Remove from grill, and let cool until ready to use.

Step 3

Coarsely chop tomatoes, and transfer to a medium bowl. Add parsley, vinegar, garlic, sugar, crushed red pepper, and remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil. Toss to combine.
