Ingredients

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter

  • 2 2/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tablespoon milk

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar

Directions

  1. Whisk the dry ingredients together. Brown the butter and strain. Cool slightly. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add the eggs and milk. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and continue to mix until combined.

  2. Add flour mixture and combine until dough is smooth. Chill the dough before scooping. Roll scooped dough balls in a mixture of granulated sugar and cinnamon.

  3. Bake 12 -15 minutes at 350 degrees.
