Addictive! Browning the butter and then cooling it takes a bit of extra time and effort but it's well worth it. Because they have little spread and are tall I was thinking that they would be on the soft side (not my favorite) but not true! Chocolate Chip bags have been downsized to 10 oz. so I added the additional two oz. but in truth 10 oz. would be plenty (I used Aldi brand dark).
Everyone loved them. Easy to make. After browning the butter and putting it in the fridge I measured out and mixed together all the ingredients and assembled the baking sheets. The butter was just right by this time so I didn’t have to wait I was able to just keep going.
I doubled the recipe. Served them at our church after mass. Everyone wants the recipe.
