Bourbon Cola Grenadine Slush Recipe

Cool off with this icy twist on a traditional Southern drink. These boozy adult-friendly recipes are perfect for warm days at the tailgate. All you'll need for this frozen cocktail recipe is some Coca-Cola, your favorite bourbon, cherry syrup, and a few maraschinos to garnish. We recommend doubling the batch, because both you and your guests will likely want a second glass. Cherry Coca-Cola and bourbon are both about as old-fashioned as it gets, and throwing them together in a blender with some ice gives you a fun frozen treat. Frozen cocktails have seen a spike in popularity this past year, and it doesn't look like they're going anywhere. From frosé to bushwackers, frozen cocktails have been cooling Southerners off all summer long—keep it going with this new slush recipe that's ready to take you into the steamy days of tailgating in the South and beyond. A great tip to go along with any frozen beverage like this: pop the glasses in the freezer to get them ready to keep the slush cold and icy the whole time you're enjoying it. We prefer to serve in old-fashioned glasses that look straight out of a country diner with a cherry right on top. But that's just us! (And don't forget the straws!) Southerners are no strangers to some quality Coca-Cola recipes either; try out our Coca-Cola Cake, Slow-Cooker Ribs with Coca-Cola, or Coca-Cola Chicken Wings to perfectly complement this slush at your cookout or tailgate. They are sure to please the entire crowd with their vintage nod to America's favorite beverage (other than ice-cold sweet tea, of course).
