Native to Brazil. Small, trailing morning glory relative with stems to 20 inches long and oval leaves - 1 inches long. Half-inch-wide blue flowers bloom in summer; they close in the evening and on dark, cloudy days. Plants most widely offered are labeled 'Blue Daze', 'Hawaiian Blue Eyes', or Evolvulus Glomeratus grandiflorus; or they may simply bear the common name 'blue daze.' 'Blue My Mind' is a dwarf to a foot high and 2 feet wide. These plants vary somewhat: Foliage may be green or gray, blossoms bright blue or powder blue. Stems of all root where they touch the ground, and cuttings root very easily in water or moist soil. Use in hanging baskets, beds, borders.
