Plant Details

Native to the mountains of Europe. Attractive, creeping perennial, nice for ground cover in shaded rock garden or woodland planting; evergreen in mild-winter areas. Medium green leaves are oval, pointed, 24 inches long; form a mat about 3 inches high, spreading to 3 feet or more. Half-inch-wide spring flowers are an intense pure blue with a tiny white eye. Tolerates drought but looks better with regular water.
