They’re tiny, annoying, and worst of all, their ability to transmit a whole heap of scary diseases means they’re dangerous too. In fact, according to the World Health Organization, mosquitoes are the world’s deadliest animal.

Mosquitoes are a nuisance everywhere, but they’re especially troublesome in certain places, in particular, Dallas/Fort Worth. In this Texas metropolis, which took the number one spot on the list, citronella simply won't do the trick.

By using service data from more than 300 branches nationwide, pest control giant Terminix recently identified 25 cities where residents had the highest number of mosquito services last year. Spoiler alert: most of them are in the South.
