Why You Shouldn't Use a Towel to Dry Your Face
From cleansers and toners, to serums and moisturizers, we go to great lengths to take good care of our faces. But what if we told you that one simple habit could be enough to undo your skincare routine?
According to Beauticate, you should probably think twice about using a towel to dry your face. We know it's second nature to grab that big, fluffy bath towel to pat your face dry, but now skincare experts are warning that with that one small action, you could actually be doing more harm than good.
Apparently, topical products will better penetrate the skin when it's damp—not wet, and not dry—which means if you've been applying your expensive products to your dry face, you're not getting the most out of your purchase.
Furthermore, acne-causing bacteria could be hiding out on your trusty towel too, so all the work you put into cleaning your face is going to waste by using one.

Avoiding a towel for the face is actually a common practice among many Korean women, K-beauty blog, The Klog reports. Instead, they use their hands to remove excess water, leaving them with a perfectly damp blank canvas for skincare products. Looking to go towel free? Watch this handy Youtube tutorial from The Klog.
