You've Got to See Tennessee Mama 'Whoa Susannah' Parody the School Car Drop Off Line
"We've been in school a week and she is still taking pictures of him walking into this building. Oh my lawd!"
Ah, the back-to-school shuffle. Isn't it sweet? And exciting? And...oh-so-annoying to sit in your car in a long traffic line while parents bestow endless hugs and kisses on their youngsters?
Author, humorist, and mother-of-two, Susannah B. Lewis, is here to elicit a chuckle out of every Southern mama who has been on school drop off duty with a hilarious new video.
"Well, I've only been awake for seven minutes," she begins in her car, commenting on the morning ritual. "Look at this one right here, tangled up in the seat belt. Hey, this ain't Days of Thunder, they could have unstrapped way back there. We're not rolling through here 75 miles an hour," the Tennessee resident continues, igniting a nearly two-minute rant on the trials and tribulations of dropping your kids off at school.
"She been up, dressed, worked out this morning, took a shower....overachiever," she mutters at one point, reminding us of the exact thought we've had on many a morning. Our personal favorite line comes a few seconds later with, "We've been in school a week and she is still taking pictures of him walking into this building. Oh my lawd!"

Susannah, we feel ya mama! And we're right there along beside you honking in our car with ya — after we shower our little one with a quick stream of kisses, of course.
