At the Television Critics Association winter 2019 press tour over the weekend, network executives revealed just how busy they've been cooking up more heart-warming original programming for 2019

In addition to 103 original movies slated for the year ahead, two of our favorite series—When Calls the Heart and Chesapeake Shores—are also getting their very own spin-offs on the network's subscription streaming service Hallmark Movies Now.

Can we get an hallelujah?!

When Hope Calls is an offshoot of the network's longest-running, most-watched primetime series to date, When Calls the Heart. The new show follows sisters Lilian and Grace—two characters that were introduced in the show's 2018's Christmas special: When Calls the Heart: The Greatest Christmas Blessing—as they open an orphanage in a small Northwest town in the early 1900s. It is set to premiere in August 2019.

"When Hope Calls embodies the same heartfelt themes of community, family and faith that have resonated so strongly with ‘When Calls the Heart' fans over the past six years. This is another series that viewers are sure to treasure," Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Network Publicity at Crown Media Family Networks, said in a news release.

As for Chesapeake Shores, Hallmark announced that they've green-lit a spinoff movie based on characters from the original series, with more stories from the O'Brien sisters as they travel to Rome for the wedding of a childhood friend.

"Our viewers have fallen in love with the O'Brien sisters, characters filled with pure joy, humor and heart," Vicary said. "We are excited to dive deeper into their roles and shed more light on each of their journeys as these women balance romance, friendship, and family."
