Whataburger Pulls Out All the Stops for a Lubbock Couple's 62nd Anniversary
If you're a burger-loving Texan lucky enough to ring in your 62nd wedding anniversary with your better half, could there be any place more fitting to toast your love then your local Whataburger? One Lubbock couple, Denora and Billy Joe Morman, think not.
The duo tied the knot in 1957, as Lubbock's KCBD originally reported, and have been longtime customers of the popular burger chain. To ring in their special day, they headed to their local Whataburger, which they frequent twice a day. With the Mormans anniversary approaching, the team at Quaker Avenue's Whataburger wanted to show their gratitude in honor of them. "It makes me so happy that I get to come here and see their happy little faces," said Whataburger employee Brooklyn Knorr, of the couple.
Little did the Mormans know what they were in store for when they strolled in on their anniversary. Below, see the surprise Whataburger employees thoughtfully set up for the Mormans complete with flowers and a customized cake.
