Canines and their companions are giving Walt Disney World's new dog-friendly pilot program two paws up.

In October 2017, for the first time in its history, The Most Magical Place on Earth began allowing dogs at four of their hotels. The Art of Animation Resort, Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Yacht Club (pictured) and The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort will all put up your pooch for $50 nightly fee. (At $75 a night, the price to board Fido at Disney's Yacht Club Resort will run you a bit more.)

According to The Washington Post, the company began to warm up to the idea of hosting dogs after allowing guests evacuating from Hurricane Irma to bring their pets with them. That experience reportedly prompted them to pilot the one-year program designating 250 rooms at four properties (the resort includes 28,000 rooms across 26 hotels) as dog friendly.

From now through October 15, 2018, a maximum of two dogs per guest room are allowed. Each guest room will have easy access to outdoor pet walkways for exercise and green spaces with pet relief areas. At check-in, pups and their pawrents are given a "Pluto Welcome Kit," which includes a new food and water bowl, a place mat, a roll of poop bags and a bandana.
