If you're not swimming with Jesus in the Florida Keys (yes, really!) this Easter, there are several fabulous Southern options for those egg hunts and Easter Bunny visits. For many, the most cherished spot to celebrate Easter is the comfort of your own home and church. But for some, the lure of travel for this special celebration beckons. Or maybe you're visiting loved ones in another city and wondering how its Easter festivities stack up. Certain individuals are simply curious about which cities have the most Easter spirit.

That's why personal finance website WalletHub looked at the 100 largest cities and considered a slew of metrics that make these places great for Easter celebrations — from weather to Easter Egg-Hunt events per capita. In total, the WalletHub team looked at 12 different factors that contribute to ideal Easter fun. New York City took the cake in first place, but several Southern cities made the top 10 cut with St.Louis in fifth, Birmingham in seventh, and Orlando in ninth. See the full list here.

The WalletHub team also broke down some fun trivia like which cities had the most candy and chocolate stores per capita, in which NYC reigned supreme once again but Southern favorite, Orlando, secured fourth place overall. For the "Worst Easter Weather Forecast" rankings, Texas stole the show: Irving, Dallas, Garland, Plano, and Arlington came in 96th through 100th place.
