Whether you're thinking of giving your home office walls a refresh (see: Bombay Pink, above) or wondering what color would beautifully complement the new headboard in your bedroom, chances are, you've spent some time thinking about the best paint colors to use in your home.

Well, Valspar has come to our paint-spiration rescue with the announcement of its 2020 colors of the year. This year, the 12 hues feature a natural, calm feel, the perfect antidote to our busy lives. "Earth's prescription for the chaotic, busy lives we all live is to bring the tranquility of nature and the outdoor world into the home. That's exactly what we set out to accomplish when forecasting the 2020 Colors of the Year," says Sue Kim, Valspar Color Marketing Manager at Sherwin-Williams, the brand's parent company, in a press release.

The names of the 2020 Colors of the Year are as follows:

  • Winter Calm
