Country star Thomas Rhett Akins has a knack for expressing his feelings to music, but it also turns out he can perfectly sum up life truths in the form of a brief Instagram caption, too.

Last week, the father-of-three and husband to Lauren Akins, wrote, "As a parent you talk about alone time a bunch. Then you get it. 12 minutes in you say, 'wow I miss my kids," alongside a photo of him and Akins lazying in beach chairs. Clearly, Rhett's note struck a chord with many of his followers.

"So true! You learn to enjoy it a little more the longer you've been parenting though," said one fan," while another chimed in "12 minutes of quiet when you’re a parent and the first thing I think is 'what are they into now?'"

The Akins are parents to three girls, Willa Gray and Ada James, and Lennon Love, who was born this past February. Recently, it looks like the parents carved out some more time away from the kiddos, venturing onto Luke Bryan's boat for the day.

Amidst quarantine life of the coronavirus crisis, we know it can be extra hard for parents to feel like they have any downtime for themselves, especially as they also play teacher and camp counselor on top of their regular roles.

Our advice? Make like Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins and set a 12-minute timer for some alone time daily. You may be surprised at how much you savor the precious few minutes, and how as the alarm creeps closer to buzzing, you find yourself ready to get back into action with the youngsters.

We hope everyone is staying safe and insane during this difficult time, and if you're really lucky, get to escape for some quality relaxation time with the grown-ups on Luke Bryan's boat.
