Do you fancy the Chick-fil-A Frosted Key Lime long after it disappears from the menu? Dream about their Peach Milkshake all year long?

You may have wondered why The Chick doesn't make these standouts year-round staples on their menu. Well, a recent post on Chick-fil-A's blog, The Chicken Wire, explained why: “We are very intentional about adding menu items that are available seasonally,” offers Ben Bolling from Chick-fil-A’s Menu and Packaging Team in the article. “We always want to keep our menu exciting and relevant for our guests.”

Their reasoning also has to do with paying attention to the seasonality of certain ingredients. “Our priority is serving the best menu item possible, and that means using the freshest ingredients we can find, when they are in season,” Bolling offers.

Of course, we'll still miss Chick-fil-A's Peppermint Chocolate Chip Milkshake when wintertime ends, but at least we've got fresh peaches 'n' Icedream to look forward to as a consolation.
