If you’ve felt the urge to keep your hands busy amid the coronavirus pandemic, you’re not alone. Cleaning, knitting, quilting, and other activities that involve repetitive movements have been proven to have stress-reducing benefits.

Those looking for a creative outlet with a side of social interaction will be thrilled to learn that Deb Luttrell of Stitchin’ Heaven is offering sewers and quilters across the country a refuge via twice-weekly “Quarantine Quilt-Alongs” on Facebook Live.

Stitchin’ Heaven is now hosting all-day quilt-alongs beginning at 10:00 a.m. CST on Tuesdays and Fridays. Luttrell and her team will “walk through the process of creating a timeless keepsake while answering questions, providing tips and expert insight, and allowing viewers the opportunity to interact and share stories with others who share a passion for sewing,” a press release from the Texas-based quilt shop announced.

For participants wishing to follow along with Luttrell step-by-step, every "Quarantine Quilt-Along” will feature a corresponding Quilt Kit available for online purchase. You can also go your own way and just enjoy the company, simply come prepared with your pattern and pre-cut fabrics.
