The South Dominated U.S. News & World Report’s List of the 50 Best Places to Live in America
Can you guess which Texas city took the #1 spot?
The rest of the country has finally figured out just how good life is down South.
On Tuesday, U.S. News & World Report released its annual list of the 50 best places to live in America, and we are thrilled (although not at all surprised) to report that the South had the most entries on the list, including the #1 city, Austin, Texas.
U.S. News analyzed the 125 most populous metropolitan areas in the country to find the best places to live. To make the top of the list, a city had to have good value, be a desirable place to live, have a strong job market and a high quality of life.

Fayetteville, AR, Huntsville, AL, and Washington, DC rounded out the top 10 with the 5th, 7th and 8th spots on the list, respectively.
