Kansas City Mayor Shares His Thoughts on McDonald's UK "Kansas City Stack" Burger
"Stay in your lane (which is on the wrong side of the road, btw)."
We may call them our friends "across the pond," but some Southerners are none too pleased with a certain "Kansas City Stack Burger" that was unveiled at McDonald's in the United Kingdom earlier this week and will stay on menus until June 25th, 2019. While the burger may call out Kansas City in its name, it doesn't seem to have much in common with Kansas City barbecue, celebrated for its dry-rubbed, slow-cooked meats with a signature tomato and molasses sauce.
In reaction to a promotional Tweet about the new, limited-time, bacon-topped, double burger, outgoing Kansas City, Missouri, Mayor Sly James tweeted the below:
Fox 4 KC even recruited American journalist Kevin Kline, who lives abroad in Ireland, to sample the burger on-air. Watch the clip below. (Spoiler alert: He doens't think it's exactly KC 'cue.)

What do you think of this burger landing on McDonald's lineup? If your travels happen to take you to the United Kingdom before June 25th, let us know how the burger is and report back.
