Here's Why Drew and Jonathan Scott Think We Should Use Shiplap on the Ceiling
This is a genius idea.
Love shiplap? You're not alone. But if you're looking for a superb way to incorporate these wooden boards in your decor you may want to look up.
Way up to your ceiling, friends. For an effortlessly elegant-yet-laid-back look, Drew and Jonathan Scott are fans of adding shiplap to the ceiling, as revealed on a recent episode of their TV show, Property Brothers, in which the siblings renovated a couple's Las Vegas home.
As Jonathan says on the episode, per a Realtor.com recap, using shiplap on the ceiling of a room will "give it a comfy farmhouse feel," though still not be over-the-top. Indeed, these boards are an excellent way to add visual interest to a room without opting for something too distracting.
