Just the other month, Ree Drummond added cupcakes to her Pawhuska mainstay, The Mercantile. Like any carb-o-holic, we drooled over the tantalizing flavors, ranging from Devil's cake to yellow birthday cake. Strawberry cake cupcake? Don't mind if we do.

Now, just when we were sidetracked with the opening of the Pioneer Woman's new hotel — an inviting eight-room "cowboy luxury" inn, also in Pawhuska — Ree and her team have commandeered our thoughts yet again with dreams of those sweet, frosted delights. 

"Are we still obsessed with The Merc’s cupcakes? Why yes, yes, we are. They’re fluffy, gorgeous, fresh, lip-smacking, melt-in-your-mouth, scrumptious, and they hit the spot! Every. Dang. Time." the caption reads on the Pioneer Woman Mercantile's recent instagram post. "Do we have a problem? Maybe. Come try one or all eight for yourself (we don’t judge!). You won’t be disappointed. Have an awesome Friday everyone!"

We don't know about you, but now our Friday is about to involve a cupcake mission. (We're starting to think every Friday should involve said endeavor.)

Should we whip up a batch of lemon sherbet cupcakes with buttercream frosting? How about cookies and cream cupcakes? Hmmmm, we think we'll make a pilgrimage to our favorite local bakery and channel that TGIF spirit after all.
