From Christmas homewares to down-home Southern cooking, you don't need to give us a reason to pay a visit to Ree Drummond's Mercantile bakery, restaurant, and store in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. But here's some extra convincing: Cupcakes.

The Pioneer Woman herself took to instagram yesterday to give us a behind-the-scenes peek at recipe testing for the newest culinary delight headed for the Merc's bakery.  "We're getting ready to start offering cupcakes in the bakery at @pwmercantile soon," announced Drummond beside a crumb-filled photo. "This means (bad news) that I have to taste taste taste taste taste cupcakes constantly until they’re perfect. This also means (good news!) that I have to taste taste taste taste taste cupcakes constantly until they’re perfect. And I'm okay with this."

Based on the tray's labels, it looks like there are some stellar flavors vying for a spot at the counter. We're hoping Devil's Cake Ganache, Yellow Cake Birthday, and Strawberry Cake with Strawberry Icing all make the cut.

Ah, Ree Drummond, thank you for always reminding us that the key to a better day may just be an oven and a few icing swirls away. Time to taste taste taste taste taste our afternoon away, y'all.
