Plotting a move to the suburbs? Realtor.com has found that one of our favorite suburbs is growing the fastest of 'em all: Apex, North Carolina.

A suburb of Raleigh, Apex edged out Ponte Vedra, Florida and Frisco, Texas to secure the number one spot. To determine the rankings for fastest-growing suburbs, Realtor.com crunched numbers for "...more than 7,000 ZIP codes, focusing on the ones outside a city's limits and within an hour's commute in rush hour to the center of the nearest urban area." Additionally, they factored in home appreciation and the increase in home listings for the suburb, both over the course of the past three years. The data team also considered population growth and the share of new construction within the suburb's county.
