The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have had a busy few months, planning for their baby's arrival and settling back at home after a busy royal tour in the fall. But Prince Harry and Meghan Markle still carved out time to do something on every Southerner's post-holiday checklist: Write thank-you notes.

As Instagram user @loopycrown3 shared in two recent posts, it appears that Harry and Meghan sent out thank-you notes to their fans who took the time to wish them a happy holiday. "Lovely reply from TRH the Duke and Duchess of Sussex thanking me for sending my Christmas and New year wishes," the caption reads, accompanying a photo of Markle holding the umbrella for Harry during their royal tour.

A second photo, posted by the same user, reveals the text on the thank-you note: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex thank-you for the very kind message you sent for Christmas," it reads. "This was most thoughtful of you and greatly appreciated by Their Royal Highnesses who send their best wishes for Christmas, and for the New Year."

Of course, given the volume of mail the couple receives, it's likely Harry and Meghan only selected the photo—plus five for the cute candid—and oversaw the text for the cards, as opposed to sitting down and writing and signing them all individually. But as every Southerner also knows, it's the thought that counts.
