A fire has erupted at a condominium complex in Perdido Key, Florida. The fire department received the call around 4:00am this morning and more than 75 firefighters reported to the scene. The condominiums are located about 200 yards from the famed Flora-Bama bar in the popular vacation hub between Pensacola, Florida and Orange Beach, Alabama.

AL.com reports that 14 out of 20 units at Key Harbor have been destroyed as well as a large number of units at Pescador Landing following the fire spreading to the neighboring buildings. One firefighter and a resident have suffered minor injuries and are in stable condition at Orange Beach Hospital, according to Pensacola's WEAR-TV.

Perdido Key Drive, near the 17000 block, is currently blocked in both directions as the Escambia County Fire Rescue firefighters and Escambia County EMS crew continue to respond to the fire, which is now mostly extinguished but still burning in small pockets.

"A lady from the Waffle House ran down and was screaming to get out because the whole place next door was on fire and the flames were going so high that they were coming into the cars in our parking lot and onto the top of our building," local witness Linda Davis told WKRG-5 in an interview this morning.
