It's always a good day to help children in need.

HGTV's Home Town co-star, Ben Napier, is stepping up to the plate — well, edge — to do just that for the Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital of Children's of Mississippi in Jackson, Mississippi.

"On April 13th I will be participating in Over the Edge with Friends - an event where I will be rappelling five stories to help raise money for the Friends of Children's Hospital," Napier writes on his personal fundraising page. "Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts."

So far, Napier has raised $1,875 of his $5,000 goal.

The fun-filled day will also include food, music, and an area for kids to play while the "Edgers" take their leaps off of the five-story One Eastover Center at The District at Eastover. The fundraiser hopes to raise $100,000 to support the sick and injured children who rely on the hospital for treatment.

If you live in the Jackson area and want to participate, or if you want to make a donation or would you like to learn more about the fundraiser, visit overtheedgewithfriends.com or Ben Napier's fundraising page here. Anyone can donate, no matter where you live.

Let's show some love for Ben and Erin Napier's home...state.
