Now's the time to nominate the teacher for Olay's #FaceTheSTEMGap sweepstakes. Amidst a difficult year of virtual learning for teachers across the country, now's the perfect time to reward them with special "science-lessons-in-a-box" created by Olay scientists. From now until January 15, you can nominate a teacher or parent teaching at home for a chance to win this science kit at olay.com/nominate. The contest comes as part of Olay's efforts to increase the number of women in STEM fields. These unique kits will empower educators to help "keep science alive in their classrooms (both physical and virtual) through demonstrations, experiments, lab equipment designed for virtual learning, and messages of encouragement form real women who work in STEM fields," per a company press release. Although the initiative is geared towards enhancing the future of women in STEM careers, you can nominate either a male or female teacher. The first 275 science kits will arrive at the homes of winners across the country the week of February 8, a fitting tribute to International Day of Women and Girls in STEM on February 11. Nearly half of the kits will arrive in quite the eye-catching fashion—via special drone delivery in select cities only. Based on demand for these science lessons, a second round of kits could be delivered for the 2021 school year.
