Just in time for the new year (and to sabotage our diet resolutions), Kellogg's is unveiling two new flavors of Rice Krispies Treats. While we all have fond memories of snacking on those chewy, crunchy, marshmallow-filled bars in our childhood, the original crispy treat was due for an adult-appropriate upgrade. Thankfully, Kellogg's has responded with a flavor variation that's sure to satiate those with a serious sweet tooth. We'd even argue that these two flavors might be better than the original.

Dessert lovers, rejoice! As soon as you usher in 2018, you'll be able to hit the snack aisle in January to purchase the Birthday Cake and Cookies ‘n' Creme Rice Krispies Treats. Kellogg's decided on these flavors, partly influenced by "the most sought-after flavors" influencers and users were searching for on social media.

You can expect the same crunchy and sweet combination of a breakfast cereal mixed with pillowy marshmallows, but both of these treats have a layer of creme on the bottom. As the name implies, the Birthday Cake version features colorful rainbow sprinkles and creme drizzled on top. Of course, the Cookies ‘n' Creme flavor is covered in chocolate cookie crumbles and tasty creme topping.

"We are so excited to announce these brand-new flavors," said Emily Minardi, Associate Marketing Director of Rice Krispies Treats, in a press release. "Every day presents a reason to celebrate, whether it's a big occasion like a birthday or a little victory like completing a math test. With the new Birthday Cake and Cookies 'n' Creme flavors, you have delicious treats for celebrating that will bring big smiles to your whole family and give you even more to love."

To keep the celebration going, you can even write birthday or congratulation messages to your loved ones on the wrappers. Snap, crackle, and pop your way into 2018 with these ooey, gooey, downright chewy treats.

Kellogg's has not specified whether these will be permanent or limited-edition flavors, but one thing we can be sure of is that you'll be licking your fingers clean after devouring them.
